Boys Lacrosse Skills Clinics: Preparatory, Intermediate & Advanced
Fall League Preparatory
In the Instructional Skills Clinic sessions, players will be taught in a progression format basic strategy while developing their individual skills. We start with single player drills followed by 1v1, 2v1, 3v2, 3v3, 4v3, 4v4, 5v4 strategy leading up to fun 5x (5 on 5) small field scrimmages that are fast paced and reinforce what the players have learned.
At the conclusion of the Instructional Skills Clinic, players will have the foundation needed to participate in the Southside Fall Lacrosse Elementary and Middle School Leagues.
Dates: August 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17
Divisions: Elementary School, Middle School & High School
Tuition for 6 sessions: $95 ($110 after 8/4)
This clinic is intended to teach all of the basic individual skills a player needs in order to start practicing and playing in the Southside Fall Lacrosse League - the clinic consists of 6 sessions that will last approximately an hour and a half each.
Full equipment is required for the clinic.
Players will learn and practice the foundational individual skills needed to start their path to success in lacrosse. Our US Lacrosse Certified, background screened and well trained, instructors all played (or still play) lacrosse at the college level and they will teach your player the following skills:
- An overview of the basic rules of lacrosse
- How to hold the stick properly
- Cradling the ball
- Scooping to get the ball off the ground into their stick
- Catching the ball
- Passing the ball
- Shooting the ball on goal
- Dodging to get past other players
- Defending a dodger
- 2 player strategy
- 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, 4v3, 4v4
- 6v6 Introduction and Full Field 10v10 concepts
