Seasonal Staff Application

Southside Lacrosse League is accepting scoring and field and scoring staff applications for its 2018 Spring Season, which runs on Wednesday evenings, March 7th - May 16th. (No game on 3/14.) 

All staff positions are paid. Please review the following STAFF REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS. Interested applicants should complete the online application via the link listed at the bottom of this message.

Application Deadline: Friday, 2/23. 

  • Location: Princess Anne Athletic Complex​
  • Approximate Hours:​
    • Arrive by 5:00 pm to help with setup​
    • Plan to stay for wrap-up / clean-up until 9:00 pm (no partial shifts)​
  • Compensation: To be discussed upon receipt of application.
  • There will be a mandatory staff training meeting prior to 3/7 at our Virginia Beach Sportsplex training facility (2068 Landstown Centre Way).​
  • Applicants should be at least 17 years of age and have reliable transportation.  High school graduates and lacrosse parents are encouraged to apply.​
  • Priority consideration will be given to qualified applicants who are available to work all evenings.​
  • All communication will be via email. Please be sure to regularly check the email address entered on your application, as it imperative that we receive timely replies to finalize our staff list.

The Southside Lacrosse League will follow the age guidelines set forth by US Lacrosse:

  1. Players will play in their designated age group as outlined by the US Lacrosse Age Group Chart.
  2. Aging down an age group is not allowed at any level.
  3. Exceptions:
  • Should a player’s birthdate fall close to the September 1 cutoff, parents may submit a request to the league for consideration. ​
  • Players will not be permitted to age more than one level above their current group.​
  • A player may age up if gaining team needs additional players, there is league approval and the above criteria are met.
  • Players whose size, skill level or medical condition prohibit them from participating at their age level from a safety standpoint will be considered.

All requests are carefully considered by the League. Should your request be granted, a parent or guardian must complete a waiver prior to player participation.
